STEAMED FISH IN CHILLI LIME SAUCE (CUISINE THAI)

OK....ALL FOODIES AND ENTHUSIASTS.......THIS IS A FABULOUS RECIPE.I LEARNS  FROM A LADY IN PHUKET .SHE RUNS A COOKING SCHOOL AND HER RECIPES ARE AS AS AUTHENTIC AS THEY GET...ITS DELICIOUS..ITS LIGHT AND ITS BEAUTIFUL TO LOOK AT,DO TRY IT OUT.YOU COULD SUBSTITUTE THE SUGAR WITH SPLENDA AND MAKE IT AN ABSOLUTELY LOW FAT FISH..EAT ,,ENJOY N KEEP LOSING WEIGHT...I RATE IT 10/10

STEAMED FISH IN CHILLI LIME SAUCE

INGREDIENTS
1)2 LARGE FILLETS BASA FISH OR ANY OTHER WHITE FISH WASHED IN LEMON JUICE.
2)1/2 CUP LEMON JUICE
2)2TABLESPOON FISH SAUCE
3)1/2 TSP CASTOR SUGAR
4)2 TABLESPOON CHOPPED GARLIC
5)11/2 TSP FINELY CHOPPED AND DE SEEDED RED AND GREEN CHILLIES
6)1TSP CORIANDER ROOT CHOPPED
METHOD
1)MIX THE LEMON JUICE,FISH SAUCE AND CASTOR SUGAR
2)ADD THE RED AND GREEN CHILLIES,GARLIC AND CORIANDER ROOT TO LEMON JUICE MIX
3)TASTE.IT SHOULD HAVE A SOUR SWEET AND SPICY TASTE.
4)NOW STEAM THE FISH UNTIL TOOTHPICK INSERTED IN COMES OUT VERY EASILY.THROW THE WATER THE FISH LEAVES AWAY.
5)PUT IN A DISH AND POUR ROOM TEMP LEMON JUICE SAUCE OVER THE FISH.
6)DECORATE WITH LIME SLICES .....ENJOY!!!!!!!

  1. Try this variation: I call it Lemon chilli prawns :Marinate prawns in lemon juice, galangal, kaffir lime leaves, lemon grass, red chillies. Fry the prawns in little oil and then add all the remaining liquid and cook with a little coconut milk to make a semi gravy (like your dish quantity). Add fresh green basil before serving. Trust me, YUM!
